CLINT ROBERTSON - JACOBIN AUCTION 2023
Important! Pigeons are in Canada at the loft of Clint Robertson - transport/pickup will be arranged from there!
We wish you welcome to this Jacobin Auction with a super collection from Clint Robertson!
Here Clint Robertson introduces the auction himself, his family and their Jacobin birds:
We are pleased to present our 2023 online Jacobin Auction. Once again we feel it is best that we go back to an auction so every breeder has equal opportunity to acquire the birds that they feel will work best for their program.
We have devoted our lives to these birds with a vision of what we want to achieve through linebreeding. These birds are the results of 44 years of selective breeding. The features they display have been bred into them generation after generation so that they breed true with stacked pedigrees. Birds from this family have been the foundation for leading Jacobin lofts worldwide and direct offspring have won championships in virtually every country in the world where Jacobins are shown competitively. I am not saying, and will never say, that our Jacobins are better than anyone else's but rather they represent what our vision is and what we have bred to achieve.
Each year we move forward with our young birds as our new breeders. As I have said before it is my thinking that if we are doing things right each generation should be better than the last. Each year we offer all of our breeders for sale and if the new owner desires we will offer the pairs as we had them mated. As a result breeders worldwide have been able to get world class Jacobins to complement their breeding programs or to start right at the top. These birds represent literally thousands of hours of thought and work, care and selection, over the past 40 plus years that went into their creation.
Justin is known Worldwide for his bar Jacobins which he has focused on for close to 20 years now with his blues, mealy and brown bars being his focus. In 2020 Justin acquired the entire stud of Cream bars developed by Bill Sacher to ad to his breeding program. Justin now breeds from around 30 pair of bars. As this breeding season wraps up Justin has banded in excess of 150 young bars so he has decided to part with many top breeders to make room.
We only made the decision to have an auction this year in the past few weeks so it has been a rush to get pictures and once again it is at the end of the breeding season when the birds have been trimmed and are in poor feather condition after feeding young and being bred in an open loft. As a result there are birds that are not in the auction because they are already starting to moult or simply are not in good enough feather to picture at this time. Fortunately we did take a few pictures before breeding of some of the birds. With others we have tried to present them to you as best as we can to show what they are. Every bird offered is a proven breeder that we have bred young from in 2022. The auction will be in 2 parts each lasting 10 days. Part 1 will feature birds from Clint's program and Part 2 will feature birds from Justin's Bar program.
I would like to thank Claus Jensen for posting about our auction on his Facebook page. For more information on the birds in the auction contact Clint Robertson by email at clint@jacobins.ca or Justin about his Bar Jacobins at justrob456@hotmail.com
